This might have some fans scratching their heads at first, considering the fact that Vancouver Canucks star Elias Pettersson still has anothe ryear after this one on his current contract.
The catch is that this isn't Canucks star Elias Pettersson, this is a different Elias Pettersson.
This Elias Pettersson was drafted by the Canucks in the 3rd round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, and is a defenseman from Sweden. He played in the Swedish Hockey League this year, and will now make the jump to North America.
