Ryan Whitney Roasts the Vancouver Canucks After a Ridiculous Trade
The Vancouver Canucks shocked everybody yesterday when they traded for Filip Hronek. It's safe to say many mocked the trade, including long-time NHLer Ryan Whitney.
Whitney Mocks Canucks
It's nonsensical for a rebuilding team to trade a 1st round pick (and a 2nd rounder for the matter).
This is why it was so shocking when the Canucks, in the middle of a tear-down, opted to buy high on Filip Hronek.
To make matters worse, just a few hours later, Jakob Chychrun got traded for a similar package!
Essentially, for an extra 3rd round pick, they could have had Chychrun instead of Hronek, which would have been a game-changer for the team.
This was the target of Ryan Whitney's ridicule.
Vancouver Paid More For Hronek
Hopefully Hronek is worth it for the Canucks, as Jakob Chychrun will forever be what could have been'.
