BREAKING: Canadiens Star Suffers A Season-Ending Injury
Montreal Canadiens star Kirby Dach took an awkward fall into the bench and it has now been confirmed that he will miss basically the entire season.
Dach Injures ACL and MCL
Insider Eric Engles just revealed the worst possible news for Canadiens star forward Kirby Dach.
Initial word I'm receiving on Canadiens' Kirby Dach is he has a torn ACL+torn MCL in his knee. There are more tests being done, and we'll wait for Habs to officially confirm once they're received all the info, but this puts Dach's season at risk if it ends up being the case.
A joint ACL and MCL injury typically takes 6-12 months to recover from so at best the Canadiens will get a couple more games out of Dach this year and at worst he will be missing time next year.
Dach was the 2019 3rd overall pick of the Blackhawks and was traded to Montreal at the 2022 draft for the 13th pick and a mid-round pick.
Here was the hit that injured Dach:
Hopefully, Dach is able to recover fully in time for the 2024-25 season.
