Tonight a scene that was difficult to watch developed as a New York Rangers defenseman left the game with a serious injury. Reports after the game would confirm the player was transported away in an ambulance.
New York Rangers Player Leaves Stadium Series Game In An Ambulance
On an innocent play in the third period, New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren went down in agony. The Islanders would score on the play with Lindgren hurt. He would then leave the ice and not return to the game.
Sometime later it was revealed that Lindgren was injured so severely he needed to be transported out of the arena in an ambulance.
As of now, there are no significant updates on Lindgren's status. With an ambulance being needed this would normally mean a significant injury. However, due to the game being in an unconventional location, the ambulance might have just been the most convenient place for Lindgrent to receive care only time will tell.
