Carter Verhaeghe of the Florida Panthers to miss the end of the season

The head coach of the Florida Panthers, Paul Maurice, revealed today that Carter Verhaeghe is injured and won't play for the rest of the regular season.

Verhaeghe, who is 28, is in the middle of his career season, with an absolutely incredible 71 points in 75 games. He's an important player for the Panthers, working with other top players like Sam Reinhart, Matthew Tkachuk, Aleksandar Barkov, and Sam Bennett.

Carter Verhaeghe plays with aggression, which gets him in trouble at times. He's in the last year of his three-year contract where he makes $4.166 million a year.

Carter Verhaeghe to miss the rest of the NHL regular season due to injury; presumed back early in the playoffs

Paul Maurice revealed in his press conference today that Carter Verhaeghe will be missing the final seven games of the Panthers' regular season with an upper body injury.

Carter Verhaeghe (upper body) is week to week, per Maurice.

They don't expect him to miss any playoff games, but he might not be ready until Game 1.

We will see if Verhaeghe manages to return ahead of game 1. The Panthers are not the same team without him.
