A Young Player With a Promising Career Passed Away at 17
We recently learned that Drummondville Voltigeurs defenseman Francis Durocher passed away from a battle with Leukemia.
Durocher was drafted in the third round of the QMJHL draft, and looked to have a promising career ahead of him.
The team sent out a heartfelt statement upon the news of his passing.
On behalf of all the Voltigeurs players, staff, volunteers and partners, we offer our sincere condolences to the family and to Francis' loved ones.
The HockeyPatrol team wishes the best to Durocher's family and friends at this difficult time, and we equally praise Francis for the incredibly feats he completed in his young career.
