Alex Debrincat has been arguably one of the best Blackhawks the last few years.
Unfortunately the Blackhawks were never able to make a comeback with the Toews, Kane era. So the GM has to now figure out a way to rebuild his team with as many assets in return.
It's looking like the New Jersey Devils are the frontrunners in the Debrincat sweepstakes. Especially if the second overall pick is at stake, a trade with the Devils might be the best option right now.
However, it is also believed that the Senators, Flyers, Islanders and Kings have been linked to Alex DeBrincat in the past few weeks.
I am not too sure if this is the right year to get high draft picks in return for Debrincat because of the depth of the draft but a GM has to try and hope he is making the right decision.
