Andrew Mangiapane breaks hockey's unwritten 'code' And quickly regrets it
In hockey there are a few unwritten rules. One of these is to never shoot the puck after the whistle.
Clearly Andrew Mangiapane of the Calgary Flames never got this memo, as in his game against the Ottawa Senators, he blatantly shot the puck after the whistle.
Essentially, after an offside pass, Mangiapane shot it out of rage. This didn't go unnoticed.
Thomas Chabot immediately went and charged Mangiapane. A scrum occurred, and ultimately two minor penalties offset each other.
It's safe to say that Mangiapane has learned his lesson, and that breaking these unwritten rules never goes unpunished.
