BREAKING NEWS: Former Panthers coach Andrew Brunette was arrested earlier today for DUI.
It happened on Wednesday in Broward County.
Deputies took Brunette into custody on multiple charges including DUI and disobey of a stop of yield sign.
He was taken to the Broward Main Jail.
Brunette was named interim head coach of the Panthers following the team parting ways with Joel Quenneville early last season.
He would go on to lead Florida to its most successful season in franchise history and first playoff series victory since 1997.
Brunette wasn't retained by the Panthers, who instead chose to hire Paul Maurice as the team's next head coach.
