BREAKING: the Detroit Red Wings place young player on waivers

The Detroit Red Wings have placed Tampa Bay Lightning's 2012 second round pick, Adam Erne, to waivers for the purpose of sending down to the AHL.
The former Quebec Remparts has not played in the AHL since the 2017-18 campaign.
In 43 games this season, Erne, 27, has recorded 14 points.
His salary is $2.1 million until this summer and will become an unrestricted free agent.
