Bad News for Legend Jaromir Jagr
Jaromir Jagr is one of the greatest players in NHL history.
His love for the game is functionally unrivalled, and he is still playing professionally at 50 years old.
He is the majority owner of Kladno, in the Czech Extraliga, and he is credited with keeping the franchise alive.
Jagr announced on Instagram today that his father, Jaromir Jagr Sr., has passed away.
Jaromir Sr. introduced the future hall-of-famer to the game of hockey, and he had been an icon in Czechia for decades.
Jagr offered up a heartfelt message in memory of his father:
If it's true that children choose their parents before birth, then my first decision was the best I've ever made. Thank you for everything, dad
We wish the best to Jagr and his family in this tough time.
