According to Nick Kypreos, former New York Islanders head coach Barry Trotz, who was fired in the last few days, has met with a few NHL teams and will continue to do so in the coming weeks.
According to Kypreos, Trotz would ask for an annual salary of $6M per season.
On average, the salary of a chief pilot in the NHL is between 1 and 5 M$ annually.
The Jets, Blackhawks, Flyers, Stars and Golden Knights are currently looking for a coach.
When the demand is there, the supply increases and that's normal. Trotz is quite a coach!
