Good news for hockey fans, but more importantly, good news for reporters.
The National Hockey League has confirmed to the Professional Hockey Writers' Association that the league is returning to "normal" pre-pandemic media access regulations.
How is this good news for fans? Journalists will be closer to the players and with the transparency of the Montreal Canadiens since the arrival of Chantal Machabée, it will not be surprising to learn more and more exclusive news.
In short, it's positive for everyone!
« From the PHWA (Professional Hockey Writers Association): all 32 NHL clubs were informed this week (by the NHL) that we are officially returning to "normal" pre-pandemic media access regulations. Clubs were informed via email that "locker rooms must be open after all games and after all practices, and all active players must be made available. (for the media)" - Jim Thomas
