In the last few days, New York Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant has left out his young forward Alexis Lafreniere.
As a result, he was moved to the fourth line and to everyone's surprise, today he was placed on the first line, replacing Chris Kreider who was injured yesterday.
"Gallant just confirmed that Lafreniere will take Kreider's place on the first three and on the first power play."
See their new full lineup:
Lafreniere - Zibanejad - Kakko
Panarin - Trocheck - Kravtsov
Vesey - Chytil - Goodrow
Blais - Brodzinski - Gauthier
Laffy will also be on the first power play.
