Blake Wheeler had a terrific response when questioned about blocking shots with his groin

Late in the third period, with the score tied at three, Wheeler would stand in front of a shot from Edmonton defenceman Kris Russell and take it right to the groin area (video below). He was clearly hurt and skated directly off the ice and to the back once he was able to get up. Asked about the shot block following the game, which the Jets won to sweep the Oilers in four straight, Wheeler had a great response.

"I've got three beautiful kids, we're not having any more, so what the hell," said Wheeler.

That's a pretty good indication of why he's the captain of the team. Winnipeg now has plenty of time to rest as they await the winner of the Montreal-Toronto series for round two.
