Bruce Boudreau explains why he scratched Brock Boeser
Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Bruce Boudreau was interviewed today following the confusing healthy scratch of one of his best players.
Brock Boeser hasn't been the best this season, however, scratching him seems to be more of a symbolic move than a hockey one.
When asked about the scratching, Boudreau said this:
Bruce Boudreau confirms that Brock Boeser will be a healthy scratch tonight and describes the decision as «tough love»
"The whole message is that we all have to be better. We're taking one guy out, but it's an important player of our team. An important guy that we're going to need to win down the road. Everybody's gotta start playing their best, or this is the result"
Bruce Boudreau
This confusing move could equally be a signal of an incoming trade.
It will be an interesting story to follow.
