According to TSN's Chris Johnston, the Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks have resumed talks for a potential trade involving defenseman Erik Karlsson.
Of course, what complicates things is the salary, while Karlsson earns $11.5M until 2026-27.
In 53 games this season, the Swede has 70 points.
The salary cap will have to be worked around, but it's not impossible something could work out. If, say, Darnell Nurse were to go the other way, it would completely change Edmonton's window. Imagining McDavid, Draisaitl, and Karlsson together is truly incredible.
Do you think the Oilers could pull it off?
