According to reports from TSN's Darren Dreger, the Montreal Canadiens and four other Canadian teams are reportedly in the infamous derby Jakob Chychrun in Arizona.

The teams in the running are the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens.

Look, there's a growing list of Canadian teams that are in the market for a defenceman - you know, Chychrun is high rent and the demand is huge, so we'll see if teams like Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Edmonton or Vancouver are going to come full circle and pay that price or if they're going to look elsewhere. But I can tell you that those are the teams that are in the market.

On the other hand, for now, Chychrun is on the injured list, but a return to play would be imminent in his case.

Coyotes GM Bill Armstrong would like his defenseman to play at least 10 games this season before agreeing to a trade.

Chychrun earns an annual salary of $4.6 million for the next three years.
