Elliotte Friedman Reveals Vegas as a Front-Runner for a Surprising Forward
With Mark Stone out, the Vegas Golden Knights have a lot of cap space to work with. If they get creative enough, they could be true contenders.
They still don't have much in the way of futures, but if there's one thing the team is known for, it's adapting to their circumstances and maximizing their potential.
Per Elliotte Friedman, the Vegas Golden Knights are definitely in the conversation for St. Louis Blues captain Ryan O'Reilly. O'Reilly won the Stanley Cup in 2019, and won the Conn Smythe trophy.
This type of playoff pedigree is paramount for a deep run. If Vegas could pull this off, it would be insane.
We will see if the Golden Knights can pull this off. If they can, it would be a coup.
