Is Jonathan Toews' Health Deteriorating? New Reports are Making Fans Worry
It's never good when a player misses significant time with no updates. It usually means that something bad is going on, and in the case of Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews, worry is starting to set in.
He has now missed six days with an undisclosed illness, and he hasn't been seen skating or in the gym. He will miss the next two games, including one in his hometown of Winnipeg.
#Blackhawks Jonathan Toews (illness) will not play in either game of the back-to-back set this weekend, incl. Sat in his hometown of WPG vs. #nhljets.
Today is his sixth consecutive day not skating. Hawks hope to have him back Tues in Montréal.
Fans are worried that this may be another stint of his multi-system autoimmune illness that wiped him out in 2021. If it is, it might mean he is out very long-term, and it will affect his value if he is traded.
Hopefully all is ok and he'll be back within the week, but it is definitely getting to a point of worry.
