Insider Elliotte Friedman spoke about Arber Xhekaj's little brother, during his most recent 32 Thoughts, but this time in written form, not as a podcast.
According to Friedman, Arber Xhekaj's brother, Florian, is expected to be drafted this summer in the NHL.
"Arber Xhekaj's younger brother, Florian, is getting attention in the OHL with Hamilton. Draft guru Sam Cosentino thinks he will be selected in June."
If Arber Xhekaj is a surprise, Florian is also one.
At the time of the draft, Arber's younger brother will be 19 years old. In his first year in the OHL, he had 16 points in 48 games, plus 58 minutes in the penalty box. He played in a lower league last year with the Pelham Panthers of the GOJHL.
At 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, the forward is a carbon copy of his older brother, physically speaking, even though he is two inches shorter.
Obviously, some NHL executives wouldn't want to pass up another Xhekaj and regret it a few years later.
