Geoff Molson made a phone call to Patrick Roy

According to Kevin Dubé of the Journal de Québec, Montreal Canadiens owner Geoff Molson has called Patrick Roy to ask him to speak at Guy Lafleur's funeral tomorrow.

Their relationship was short-lived, however.

I didn't get to know him as a teammate until my first training camp. That's kind of what I'm going to talk about. I'm going to talk about how I experienced that moment and my game against him in 1989 [when Guy Lafleur returned to the Forum in a New York Rangers uniform]. I will also talk about my last meeting with him. I want to pay tribute to him because it is fully deserved.

It will obviously be a very touching moment tomorrow.
