During the day, just hours before the Habs take on the Seattle Kraken, we learned that forward Shane Wright has been officially recalled from the AHL.
Wright has completed his two-week training camp stint with the club in time to potentially face the Canadiens on Tuesday night.
All indications are that we will be treated to a first matchup between Juraj Slafkovsky and the man who was projected to be the first overall pick in the last draft. Let's just say it's going to be a very interesting match-up.
The Kraken's GM, Ron Francis, had even said that number 51 would almost certainly be in the lineup when he returned from the club-school, just before possibly handing him over to Team Canada for the World Junior Championship.
"He'll play two more times this weekend...before he's recalled, and then our plan is to get him in the lineup here, and then we'll make a decision on the World Junior Championship at that time." - Ron Francis
More details to come!
