Joe Sakic has just made an astonishing gesture toward Guy Lafleur
The national funeral of the great Guy Lafleur is presently going place, as we mentioned a few minutes ago, and there are many people in attendance.
Especially notable are the members of the current Montreal Canadiens team.(including Shea Weber), Kent Hughes, Jeff Gorton, Martin St-Louis... There is also Gary Bettman, Bill Daly, Justin Trudeau and his wife, François Legault and his wife, Jean Charest, Madame Béliveau, Serge Savard, Yvan Cournoyer, Larry Robinson, Guy Carbonneau, Patrick Roy, Mario Tremblay, Marc Bergevin, Dominique Ducharme, Paul Wilson. (to name but a few)
In addition to all these people, there is one in particular that we would like to highlight.
The GM of the Colorado Avalanche, Joe Sakic, is on hand. Wow! He came to Guy Lafleur's funeral, as his team is playing its very first game of the 2022 playoffs tonight.
A strong gesture on his part, and there was absolutely nothing that required him to do that.
