As mentioned earlier, Juraj Slafkovsky was in Washington, where he proudly wore a full Habs uniform for the first time.
Following the event, the Slovakian met with reporters and was asked if he feels ready to make the jump to the NHL. The young man is full of confidence, but is keeping a cool head and taking it one day at a time.
"Training camp starts next week, so that's when we'll see if I'm ready for the NHL.
I'm going to do whatever the team asks of me and I'll play wherever they think is best for me. That said, I think I'm ready to play in the National League right now."
- Juraj Slafkovsky
What's encouraging about this is not only that he feels ready to play in the NHL, but that he's showing a lot of maturity and won't stop working, even if he has to go back to Laval to start the season. In short, he has a great attitude and we are all looking forward to seeing him in action in an NHL prep game.
