After only winning 2 games in their last 14, and losing a game to the Rangers on Koskinen's mistake, Dave Tippett threw his goaltender under the buss and blamed the loss on him: «We did a lot of good tonight, but our goalie wasn't very good. Also, we didn't send enough pucks into the net to hope to get back in the game. It was a blunt mistake. It has to be said as it is. We played well, it was a blunt mistake!
Today, Edmonton Oilers goaltender Mikko Koskinen responded.
via Tommi Seppälä of Yle Urheilu:
»It's not nice being thrown under the bus. I have to be better but at the same time we scored 7 goals in my last 6 losses. I can't score goals.»
Trouble in Oil town. Will Dave Tippett get fired?
