Logan Mailloux, the Canadiens' 2021 first round pick, played his first game since the 2019-2020 season. Patrick Powers, Mailloux's former coach, has some amazing things to say about the stud defenseman.
A future outstanding defenseman, he can remind fans of a much respected and liked back in Montreal:
"I definitely see him becoming a complete and decisive defenseman like Shea Weber was able to be." - Powers
He also added:
"He's a very powerful skater. Logan is also very tough in his one-on-one battles. He's dedicated in his defensive coverage, but also very smart when he has the puck on his stick. He can be the one to dictate the play in the opposing zone."
Mailloux, like Shea Weber, can be used everywhere, according to his former head coach and GM.
"I can definitely see him becoming a complete and decisive defenseman like Shea Weber was able to be." - Powers, who has no doubt that Logan Mailloux's skills will translate very well to the National Hockey League.
