Luke Schenn's Stance on a Trade is Crystal Clear
This is bound to be a great month for Luke Schenn. He is mere weeks away from being a father of two, and he might also be traded to a contender.
The Vancouver Canucks are pretty close to committing a rebuild, and Schenn is a very valuable piece. A pending UFA, he could very well find himself being worth a 3rd round pick or more.
The looming baby is making a trade less desirable for Schenn however, as stability in this crazy time would be ideal.
In an interview with Canucks insider Brendan Batchelor, Schenn made it clear how much he likes Vancouver, although he does appreciate the interest in him.
"A couple of years ago, you're just trying to be wanted by anyone. Now you're at the point where you're wanted, and it's a compliment for sure, but you want to be wanted, for me, it's always been to be wanted in Vancouver."
The 2020 Stanley Cup Winner still feels wanted in Vancouver, and with his family growing, he would rather stay there.
The only question is, will the Canucks listen?
