Fleury shared a story with Walsh on how Fleury got to prank some hockey fans that were abit too loud beside his hotel room. Apparently this happened during the 2009 Stanley Cup Final, Fleury was then goaltender with the Pittsburgh Penguins staying in Detroit for the playoffs.
Fleury was at at local hotel in Detroit trying to get some much needed rest but, wasn't going so well. There were some crazy loud Detroit Red Wings fans that might have had a few drinks and were getting louder and louder.
So Fleury who was never one to say no to a little prank decided to get some payback Fleury told Walsh,
"In 2009 before hame 7 in Detroit.... all afternoon I'm trying to take my nap and there's like obviously a bunch of hockey people going to the game that day," said Fleury with a smile creeping onto his face. "They are just partying in the room next door or a couple doors down and they were pretty loud so I couldn't sleep good. I was a little bit nervousalready so I couldn't sleep. So when I got up I got dressed, put my suit on, took my luggage and then I took my garbage can and filled it up with water and put it on their door. Then I knocked and then just ran away, so then they opened the door and the garbage water fell in their room and then I could hear them."
That would've been crazy to see their reaction when they got soaked, then for those Detroit Red Wings fans to know now they got pranked by one of the best goalies of this generation Marc-André Fleury.
Fleury and the Pittsburgh would go on to win game 7 in Joe Louis Arena defeating the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 with a cup saving stop by Marc-André Fleury.
