Marc-Andre Fleury hasn't stopped making records for a long time. He'll have another chance to wow his home audience at the Bell Centre on Thursday night.
It will be his 500th regular season win if he wins. In addition to Martin Brodeur (691) and Patrick Roy (500), (551).
New Hawks coach Derek King and goaltending coach Jimmy Waite confirmed Fleury's flight to Montreal. After a 6-2 setback to the New York Rangers on Tuesday, he will try again on Thursday.
''I really want to go to Montreal. I'd been thinking about 500 wins for a while. I knew it was doable.'' - Fleury
Sadly, the main player's mother will not be present. She stays home due of terrible experiences at the Bell Centre and stupid supporters. She might miss her son's performance. Fleury will be supported by other family members and friends.
"My mom won't be at the game," Fleury said. She dislikes Montreal. She is apprehensive and dislikes some people. That's motherly love. But my sister and a dozen childhood acquaintances from Sorel will be there." - Fleury, Marc
Let's hope the crowd gives him a standing ovation if he wins. It will be a comfort to the famed goalie's mum!
