Mike Babcock on his way to Edmonton?

Oilers GM Ken Holland has been in contact with coach Mike Babcock, acording to this Twitter page who claims to have a source inside the Edmonton Oilers organization.

"Can confirm that Holland has been in contact with Mike Babcock. Not too sure in what capacity or about what exactly. But one has to assume that it's about a possible coaching change. There's been no word on Woodcroft.»

How accurate this information is, we will wait and see. But one thing for sure, the Oilers are in a free fall having lost 6 straight games and 7 of their last 10.

This rumour came out after the Oilers got blown out by the Leafs at home and a fan threw a jersey on the ice.

Coach Dave Tippett's job is in jeopardy if the Oilers continue to fall from the playoff race.
