Milan Lucic Sends His Former Teammate a Warning
It sent shockwaves through the NHL when Johnny Gaudreau signed a seven-year contract in Columbus in the early days of free agency.
While Calgarians were prepared to see the former face of their franchise in different threads, none of them anticipated it would be those of the Blue Jackets.
Gaudreau will make his return to Calgary this week for the first time since signing his new deal, and his former teammate Milan Lucic has sent him a stern warning.
On the Jesse and JD Podcast, when asked if he would throw a big hit on Gaudreau if the opportunity arose, Lucic answered as such:
Of course, it will be like before we were teammates. You look at the team and target their best player.
While Lucic still did make a testament to Gaudreau's high level of play, he couldn't help himself by sending this little warning!
It will be interesting to see how Calgary welcomes back Johnny Hockey.
