As Mitch Marner's career progresses, he's becoming an even more well respected forward in the NHL.

With the 100-point plateau not out of reach, and his goal-scoring prowess improving, Marner is starting to look like the $10.9-million dollar man Kyle Dubas signed him to be.

This also means that when he talks, people listen. So, when Marner was asked about what rule change he would make the the NHL, he revealed his offense-first idea.

If there's one things forwards hate, it's scoring a goal that is then deemed offside. It's a somewhat needed rule in the league, as it prevents long, dominant offensive zone shifts, but it is definitely annoying.

Marner would remove offsides entirely:

I THINK ALL THE RULES MAKE A LOT OF SENSE. BUT IF YOU WANTED IT TO BE A BIT CRAZY, YOU COULD DEFINITELY DO NO OFFSIDE AND HAVE IT KIND OF FREE-FLOWING AND PEOPLE CHEATING A LITTLE MORE FOR OFFENSE AND MAYBE GET THE GAMES A LITTLE MORE OFFENSIVE.

So what do you think, crazy stance, or realistic?
