Nazem Kadri is connected to a Canadian team
The best player available on the free agent market at the moment is by far Nazem Kadri.
According to the latest rumors, Kadri would wait to sign with the team he wants until that team releases the necessary money.
But, this team would not be the Canadiens.
It would be the Winnipeg Jets. They have nearly $14.5M available on the payroll, but they must sign Pierre-Luc Dubois. Or... trade him to the Habs!
Following this transaction, Kevin Cheveldayoff could make a good offer to Kadri.
The 31-year-old center scored 87 points in 71 games last season. His salary could be between $8 and $10 million.
