You never want to watch an athlete in agony, especially a man like Washington Capitals star Nicklas Backstrom.
On Saturday, the veteran forward talked to the media for the first time since the start of training camp, updating them on his condition. Backstrom looked upbeat about his recuperation, but his remarks implied he won't be ready to start the season healthy and on the Capitals' primary roster.
"I have no timetable here," Backstrom admitted as per the Associated Press. "We're just going to listen to the body and go slow. We'll see what happens. Hopefully I'll be back skating soon."
At the age of 34, Backstrom seems to have slowed down dramatically. Some players cant go past that age is he one of them?
