According to Lance Lysowski of the Buffalo Sabres, #1 overall pick Owen Power will have to wait at least a season before making his NHL debut. Instead of joining the Sabres, Power will return to the University of Michigan for the upcoming season, according to Lysowski.
Take a look:
More from Lysowski:
Owen Power will wait to make his National Hockey League debut with the Buffalo Sabres.
Power, the left-shot defenseman drafted first overall by the Sabres last month, will return to the University of Michigan for his sophomore season, a source told The Buffalo News on Thursday morning.
He will be the only #1 pick that hasn't played in the NHL his first year.
This is clearly because Buffalo is a very bad team. Every player wants to get traded and leave this organisation.
