It's no surprise to anyone that Patrick Kane is one of the biggest fish on the trade market this year.
Since the Blackhawks are in the midst of a rebuild, one thing is certain: the famous number 88 will leave Chicago by the trade deadline.
With his final year of his $10.5 million contract expiring, the 33-year-old American would be a great addition to a team looking to win big this season.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the team at the top of the list to acquire the talented winger is without a doubt the New York Rangers. In addition to having all the elements in-house to satisfy the Hawks' demands, Kane could join his former trio partner, Artemi Panarin.
« I think, until proven otherwise, the Rangers are the most likely destination, although there are a lot of variables there." - Elliotte Friedman
I don't know about you, but to see him in a Rangers uniform, teamed up with the Russian, I think it would be a big deal in New York.
The next few months could be particularly interesting in this hot issue, which will surely be resolved soon.
Clearly the Rangers will be a team to watch in the derby, they have the team to go all the way and have never been afraid to make big trades in the middle of the season in the past, if they have the opportunity to add a superstar of his caliber.
