With the Vancouver Canucks' season formally ending yesterday, the team met with the media earlier today to break down the season and look forward to the offseason.
As you would imagine, the majority of the questions were directed at Elias Pettersson, the upcoming superstar. Pettersson hasn't played since early March, when he suffered an undisclosed injury, but he finally revealed the extent of his injury today.
Take a look:
Sure, he'll be ready for next season, but will he be playing in Vancouver?
Pettersson is currently without a deal, and his agent is said to have had no discussions with GM Jim Benning. Some speculate that Pettersson, like a significant number of Canucks roster members, is dissatisfied with the team's direction under Benning and would prefer to see a management change before committing to a long-term deal. However, Pettersson stated that this is not a cause for concern. He says, "This is where I want to be."
