As you probably already know, yesterday, during the matchup between the Colorado Avalanche and the St. Louis Blues, an unfortunate incident occurred when forward Nazem Kadri violently collided with goaltender Jordan Binnington, who has been really dominant and unstoppable since the beginning of the NHL playoffs:
Following this contact, Binnington left the game, never came back afterwards and we just learned that he will have to leave for a long time. (and therefore, his series against the Avalanche is over)
You can guess that this story has caused a lot of reaction on social networks and that the comments were numerous.
However, some went way too far and the Avalanche organization had to intervene. They contacted law enforcement and the police.
"The Avalanche says local law enforcement is working with the team, investigating threats made against forward Nazem Kadri after Game 3 against the Blues." - Sportsnet
"The Avalanche organization is aware of the threats made against Nazem Kadri and is working with local law enforcement to investigate." - Peter Baugh
All of this comes on the heels of disturbing revelations made earlier in the evening by Akim Aliu:
"I talked to Nazem Kadri. About his inadvertent collision with Binnington. Naz has been the subject of so many racist attacks and threats since last night that the police had to intervene. Racist attacks like this have no place in hockey and should be investigated and reported." - Akim Aliu
