According to what the reputable Larry Brooks of the New York Post reports, the New York Rangers are interested in trading young right-handed defenseman Nils Lundkvist, after being informed that he is unlikely to report to camp without a contract.
Lundkvist, the club's third first-round pick in the 2018 draft at 28th overall, has not seen much success since arriving in North America.
In 34 games last season with the Hartford Wolf Pack in the AHL, the Swede had 15 points, including three goals. He also added four points in 25 games with the Rangers.
Stay tuned.
