According to Oilers insider Jim Matheson, the Oilers may try to entice forward Josh Anderson away from the Canadiens.
Matheson speculates that the Oilers' 2022 first-round pick, prospect Xavier Bourgault, and "something extra" would be enough to pull it off.
Bourgault was the Oilers' 22nd overall first-round pick in 2021. The 19-year-old centre is presently a member of the Shawinigan Cataractes, where he has 42 points in 24 games this season.
If the Oilers somehow can afford Anderson and Evander Kane, this would make them contenders for sure!
With a top six of:
Hyman - Mcdavid - Draisaitl
Anderson - Nugent Hopkins - Kane
That would be fire!
