Oshie is happily married to Lauren and they have three lovely children together, Lyla, Leni, and Campbell, but it sounds like he may have been forced to be away from his family during a time he should be enjoying.
We're not only in the holiday season, but Oshie's birthday was just two days ago on December 23rd. On Friday, Oshie revealed that he had celebrated his birthday while in quarantine, after being included to the NHL's Covid protocol list earlier this week. Oshie thanked his supporters for their birthday wishes, but his comments regarding the quarantine made it clear he was not pleased.
"Thanks all for the birthday wishes," wrote Oshie on Friday. "Gotta love a quarantine bday! Merry Christmas Eve!!"
In addition to missing his birthday, Oshie may be confined in isolation until the end of the Covid treatment on December 19th. The NHL's expanded Covid guidelines, released only one day before Oshie joined the protocol, make it sound like enjoying the holidays with his extended family may also be out.
Happy Birthday Oshie and Merry Christmas.
