The Tampa Bay Lightning have the opportunity to win their second straight Stanley Cup on Monday night, but the city's mayor Jane Castor says the team should lose Game four and win it at home on Wednesday night.
"What we would like is for the Lightning to take it a little bit easy, to give the Canadiens just the smallest break, allow them to win one at home, and then bring it back to Amalie Arena for the final and the winning of the Stanley Cup," Castor said Sunday. "We don't want to get ahead of ourselves, but (the Lightning) are playing some amazing hockey."
If Montreal does win on Monday night, then Game five which is scheduled for Wednesday, may have to be rescheduled due to the path of Hurricane Elsa. Hurricane Elsa is expected to make landfall on Tuesday afternoon, and could cause significant damage in on the west coast of Florida.
Game four is set for tonight at 8 p.m. ET on CBC, Sportsnet, and NBC.
