The Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens are got to be one of the biggest rivalries in the NHL. But a possible trade could be in the works between the two clubs. Canadiens new general manager Kent Hughes first piece of business is likely trading defenceman Ben Chiarot.
The Canadiens are going to be looking for picks especially with the draft being in Montreal Kent Hughes is going to want to show his new start for the Canadiens with some sweet draft picks.
Big Ben Chiarot the Canadiens are hoping will get them another 1st round pick plus for him because he's that type of defenceman every team wants.
The Boston Bruins are believed to be interested in Ben Chiarot especially because he fits that Boston Bruins play style the Bruins are trying to load up for a hopeful playoff run. Chiarot proved he can be a key part of a team as he was in the Canadiens top 4 with Shea Weber, Jeff Petry, and Joel Edmundson during Last year's playoff.
It's not a done deal but this could definitely be a trade that would benefit both teams giving the Bruins another big rugged defenceman and the Canadiens more picks for their rebuild.
