With the injury to goaltender Jake Oettinger, the Dallas Stars could not recall veteran goaltender Anton Khudobin due to the salary cap.
So they had to turn to goaltender Matt Murray (not to be confused with the Maple Leafs goalie).
Matthew Murray, 24, has played five games this season with the Texas Stars in the AHL. In five games, he has maintained a 2.00 goals-against-average and .926 save percentage.
