It looks like the Montreal Canadiens are looking to aquire the skilled defenceman from the Dallas Stars. TVA Sports Yvon Pedneault suggested a possible trade that might work.
The move would send Jeff Petry to the Stars for John Klingberg, the Canadiens would retain some salary to sweeten the deal aswell as giving the Stars a prospect or pick in the upcoming draft.
This move would be beneficial for all if it does happen Klingberg gets a new team and Jeff Petry would have a change of scenery. The Stars have been shopping Klingberg since his trade request.
The Carolina Hurricanes are also rumored to be interested in Klingberg also after they made a previous trade offer back in November.
