According to Jimmy Murphy of Montreal Hockey Now, a source close to the team told the reporter that forwards Nick Suzuki and Brendan Gallagher would be the two finalists for the role of captain of the Montreal Canadiens.
Gallagher will be in his 11th season with the CH. Of course, this is not the first time that his name has been revealed for this position. We can't take away from him, Gally is a team player and a guy close to the community. Let's just say that in the short term, because he has slowed down a lot in the last two seasons, he would be a very good choice.
The other candidate, is one of the future. Many see Nick Suzuki as the future captain of the Tricolore. But is he ready to receive the "C" next season?
It is obviously a file to follow.
