Trevor Zegras Takes a Hilarious Illegal Stick Penalty
Trevor Zegras is one of the most dynamic personalities in the NHL. A finalist for the Calder trophy last year, and the cover athlete of this year's iteration of NHL23, Zegras is definitely making a name for himself at a young age.
While he has a whole lot of fans, he made his first enemy last night.
After breaking his stick, he stole the stick of Dallas Stars bottom-sixer Joel Kiviranta.
It doesn't happen often, but the referees knew immediately that this was a penalty. It luckily didn't negatively affect his team, as they prevailed against Dallas with a 2-0 shutout victory.
Zegras may be fun, but he'll have to refrain from some of his antics if he wants to stay out of the box!
