The towering Zdeno Chara is 44 years old and by all accounts is still interested in playing in the NHL next season. While he showed pretty well last season with the Washington Capitals, it appears the team has moved on. Regardless, if he wants to come back for another season there's going to be interest.
2 Teams Who Could Sign Chara
Florida Panthers: The Panthers are looking for another defenseman and the wildcard Chara could be exactly what the doctor ordered. The Panthers D-Core isn't overly physical and could use Chara's size on their penalty kill. He won't cost much and is low-risk high-reward, look for Florida to be in the mix.
Philadelphia Flyers: It seems like Chara and the Flyers are a match made in heaven and it would only be a matter of time before he joined the franchise. He showed last season he's still durable, appearing in all but one game and the Flyers are looking to improve their hockey club and have done a great job so far this summer. Adding Chara could help provide some much needed depth on defense in Philly.
