We Now Know The Injury That Has Potentially Ended Jake Muzzin's Career
Jake Muzzin's career could be over.
We reported about a month ago that Muzzin was placed on LTIR following an injury, and there was a sentiment that the injury could be career ending.
We now know the nature of the injury.
The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that defenceman Jake Muzzin is out indefinitely due to a cervical spine injury. Muzzin's status will be re- evaluated in late February. Muzzin skated in four games with the Maple Leafs this season and recorded one assist.
A cervical spine injury is scary, and it could very well be something that prevents Muzzin from returning to NHL ice.
